Harmony House is a State of Georgia certified shelter that serves victims of domestic violence twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week by providing emergency shelter, crisis intervention, and advocacy for victims of domestic violence. Harmony House also promotes awareness of domestic violence through education, teen dating outreach, and advocacy in our community. The shelter opened in October of 2005 and received its full certification from the Department of Human Services in the fall of 2008. Harmony House provides around-the-clock residential shelter and safety to domestic violence victims and their children. The shelter has the capacity to serve up to 14 residents. In addition to emergency shelter and meals, Harmony House provides safety planning, counseling, legal assistance, transportation, childcare, and training opportunities for self-sufficiency.
